Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, TX is seeking a healthcare communications dispatcher to provide operator services, police dispatch, emergency monitoring, and paging for physicians, visitors, and staff.

You will answer calls, direct assistance, dispatch personnel during emergencies, maintain logs, monitor alarms, and support safety training across the MHS system. Flexibility to work across campuses and strong customer service are essential.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming calls and provide directory assistance.
• Attend annual safety training and complete required safety training.
• Dispatch personnel during emergencies using paging, radio, and electronic tools.
• Maintain activity logs for departments and staff as directed.
• Monitor alarms and respond per policy (code red, code blue, etc.).
• Provide dispatching services across campus for Police, engineering and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Provide assistance and directory services.Attend annual safety training and complete necessary safety training requirements.Dispatch appropriate personnel in the event of emergency situations, alerts, group contact utilizing various contact means including paging, radio, and electronic notification tools.Maintain activity logs for Police Department, engineering, and other staff as directed/required by position.Monitor and react to alarms (i.e. code red, code blue, alert I/II, code EMRT).
