Operates switchboard and paging system under the guidelines established by the department.
Processes all calls generated through the switchboard.
Pages physicians and employees.
Acts as the receptionist at the switchboard.
Maintains a list of telephone numbers for on-call personnel as well as their hospital extensions.

High School Diploma or Equivalent - Preferred
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum of 2 years PBX experience displaying an even temperament. Prior supervisory experience desirable.
