  • Support consistent implementation of our RRS expectations across the school.
  • Review behavior and school climate data to identify trends, celebrations, and areas for growth.
  • Collaborate on PBIS celebrations, acknowledgments, and incentives with Student Council Lead.
  • Provide staff with resources, reminders, and strategies to strengthen PBIS practices.
  • Partner with building leadership and staff to address PBIS needs and strengthen systems.
  • Help ensure student and staff voice are reflected in our PBIS work.
  • Communicate PBIS updates, celebrations, and next steps with staff.

Position Overview

We are looking for our next PBIS Coordinator to lead and strengthen PBIS internally at Gideon Pond. This role will support staff in implementing consistent PBIS practices, using data to guide decisions, celebrating positive student behavior, and fostering a school culture where every student feels safe, supported, and a strong sense of belonging.

1.0 FTE Stipend, $2000

Responsibilities

The PBIS Lead will:

  • Lead and coordinate our school-wide PBIS efforts.
  • Facilitate PBIS team meetings and help identify priorities and next steps.
  • Support consistent implementation of our Respectful, Responsible, and Safe (RRS) expectations across the school.
  • Review behavior and school climate data to identify trends, celebrations, and areas for growth.
  • Collaborate on school-wide PBIS celebrations, acknowledgments, and incentives with the Student Council Lead.
  • Provide staff with resources, reminders, and strategies to strengthen PBIS practices.
  • Partner with building leadership and staff to address PBIS needs and strengthen systems.
  • Help ensure student and staff voice are reflected in our PBIS work.
  • Communicate PBIS updates, celebrations, and next steps with staff.
Time Commitment
  • Approximately 1-3 hours per month, depending on school-wide activities and needs.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in PBIS team meetings.
  • Additional planning time may be needed around school-wide celebrations, events, or PBIS initiatives.

The goal is not for the PBIS Lead to do this work alone, but to help organize, guide, and move the work forward as a team.
