The stipend is $2,000 for the full year, and the selected candidate will lead meetings, trainings, and data-driven planning to improve student outcomes in a collaborative educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Must hold MN Teaching license and be eligible to teach in Minnesota.
  • Knowledge of PBIS and school-wide behavior supports.
  • Familiarity with State, Federal, and ISD 191 policies on student conduct.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist PBIS team's implementation of PBIS elements.
  • Keep team on course and assess fidelity of practices.
  • Develop monthly PBIS team agenda.
  • Facilitate monthly PBIS team meetings.
  • Coordinate PBIS staff training sessions.
  • Ensure PBIS signage is posted and maintained.
  • Coordinate student/staff celebrations (e.g., Student of the Month).
  • Collect and analyze data (ODR, Top 5, TFI, SAS).

Position Overview:

PBIS Coach

Length of stipend:

Full Year, 1.0 FTE Stipend = $2000

Job duties:
  • Assists the team's implementation of the elements of PBIS.
  • Keeps the team on course and assesses fidelity.
  • Develop monthly PBIS team agenda
  • Facilitate monthly PBIS team meetings
  • Planning and coordination of PBIS staff training
  • Ensure building PBIS signage is posted and in good condition.
  • Announce and follow through with student celebrations. Ex., Student of the Month, building celebrations
  • Announce and follow through with staff celebrations. Ex., Staff of the Month, staff trophies, breakfast, etc.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and present ODR/Top 5 data/TFI/SAS

All District 191 schools use the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system to assess, analyze, and support student behavioral needs. Outcomes from a fully implemented PBIS school system include:

Qualifications:
  • MN Teaching license
  • Knowledge of and experience with PBIS
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 School Board Policies regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with coworkers, parents, community members, supervisor, and students.
  • Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
