Job summary

Intuit in Frisco, TX is hiring a Tax Processor 1 to perform payroll tax processing, filings, reconciliations, and notice resolution under supervision.

You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance, respond to tax inquiries from internal teams and customers, and help prepare forms and amendments in line with federal, state, and local requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of payroll or tax processing experience or related field.
• Basic knowledge of tax regulations and filing systems.
• Ability to learn processes and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned tax processing tasks including payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and payment submissions under supervision
• Deliver accurate resolution of routine tax notices and penalties by following documented procedures and knowledge-base guidance, escalating anything outside scripted scenarios
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance activities by reviewing records and verifying data accuracy
• Contribute to customer service excellence by responding to basic tax-related inquiries from internal teams and external customers
• Assist with the preparation and submission of tax forms and amendments according to federal, state, and local requirements
• Participate in quality assurance processes by identifying discrepancies and flagging issues for escalation
• Maintain organized documentation of tax transactions, filings, and correspondence in compliance with retention policies
• Collaborate with team members to support cross-functional tax processing workflows and meet operational deadlines
