Qualifications

• 3+ years in tax processing or payroll tax operations.
• Bachelor’s degree; FPC/CPP preferred.
• Advanced multi-jurisdictional tax knowledge.
• Ability to coach and develop teammates.
• Strong problem-solving for complex tax cases.
• Experience with tax/payroll systems and reconciliation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own resolution of the most complex tax notices and multi-jurisdictional issues.
• Escalation point for non-precedented cases; determine root cause and resolution path.
• Audit payroll records for compliance and identify control gaps.
• Create SOPs and training materials; coach less experienced processors.
• Serve as SME on tax treatment and filing requirements for internal partners.
• Collaborate with technology to validate automated tax calculations.
• Prepare and file complex amended returns and escalated correspondence.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate impacts.
