Job summary

Shriners Children’s seeks a knowledgeable Payroll & Tax Supervisor to oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, and year-end activities. You will supervise staff, use Workday for transactions and reporting, and ensure timely W-2 processing and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of payroll experience, strong Workday skills, W-2/tax expertise, and CPP certification preferred. This position supports multi-state operations in a hospital network environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
• 5+ years of payroll experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of Workday Payroll and related reporting tools.
• Experience with W-2 filings, payroll tax compliance, and audit support.
• Advanced understanding of payroll tax regulations and multi-state requirements.
• CPP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state organization.
• Provide leadership and oversight to payroll staff.
• Utilize Workday to manage payroll transactions, audits, and reporting.
• Oversee year-end processes including W-2 generation and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Collaborate with HRIS and Finance to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
