Job summary

Always Compassionate Health is seeking a Director of Payroll to own end-to-end payroll for a large hourly workforce. You will lead weekly processing, drive system configurations in Workday and ADP Smart Compliance, and own tax compliance and 401(k) administration.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in high-volume payroll, excels in data analysis with Excel, and can manage payroll integrations and M&A stand-ups from scratch.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll management handling high-volume weekly payrolls.
• Experience building payroll operations from scratch and leading integrations.
• Strong expertise with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute weekly high-volume payroll processing for 2,000+ hourly and 150 salaried employees.
• Serve as primary administrator for Workday and ADP Smart Compliance; configure codes and rules.
• Oversee federal/state/local tax filings (Form 941, NYS-45, SUI) and year-end W-2s.
• Lead system integrations, data mappings, and payroll projects including M&A stand‑ups.
