Job summary

Burlington Stores seeks a senior payroll leader to manage the organization’s payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate pay while supervising a team of Analysts and Specialists.

You will oversee data collection, system uploads, and payroll research, maintaining SOX compliance and partnering with other departments and external vendors to optimize operations. This role shapes payroll policies and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5-7+ years’ payroll experience in a leadership role.
• Experience with Workday Payroll and ADP systems.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to communicate with senior management.
• Ability to lead and develop a payroll team and handle confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate pay for all associates.
• Oversee data collection, system uploads, and issuance of paychecks and transfers.
• Audit payroll results for accuracy, compliance, and internal reporting.
• Lead, coach, and develop Analysts and Specialists; manage workload and performance.
• Ensure SOX compliance and robust internal controls across payroll workflows.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and external vendors to optimize payroll operations.
