Job summary

Burlington Stores in Burlington, NC seeks an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to lead the payroll function, ensuring timely, accurate pay and robust reporting. You will manage Analysts and Specialists while shaping payroll policies and collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

Your background includes 5–7+ years in payroll, with expertise in Workday and ADP, and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5–7+ years of payroll or related experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
• Experience with Workday Payroll and ADP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate, timely pay to associates.
• Lead payroll research, analysis and troubleshooting across payroll systems.
• Manage and develop a payroll team, including hiring and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with payroll controls and SOX requirements.
• Collaborate with departments and external vendors to optimize payroll workstreams.
