Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to handle day-to-day employee payroll issues, respond to internal and external calls and emails, and resolve payroll concerns with accuracy and discretion.

The role requires strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills, with experience in Microsoft Office; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, and the company offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years customer service experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Maintain helpdesk ticket system.
• Review, respond and prioritize payroll issues.
• Troubleshoot and take proactive actions to payroll issues.
• Educate employees on correct procedures.
• Respond timely to employee issues.
• Maintain payroll files.
• Assist in backing up co-workers in department.
• Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
• Report to work as scheduled.
