Hill, Barth & King LLC (HBK) is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Ohio team. You will process biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls for a multi-client practice, ensure accuracy of taxes, benefits, and direct deposits, and support Total Rewards with 401(k) administration.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll processing experience, Workday payroll management experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent organizational abilities to multitask across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Workday Payroll Management System experience.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and abilities to multitask.
• Familiar with multi company & multi batch processing.
• Payroll for over 500 employees.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees.
• Process semi-monthly payroll for Principals.
• Process annual bonus payroll.
• Review new employee taxes and direct deposit information.
• Validate 401(k) loans, and contribution rate changes.
• Provide support to Total Rewards team for various 401(k) plan administration tasks.
• Prepare all bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly payroll check requests (FSA, garnishments, 401(k), etc.).
• Workers’ comp audit.
• Handle all wage garnishments.
• BLS worksite reports.
• Reconcile periodic and quarterly taxes with ADP.
