Job summary

Beyond New Horizons seeks a Payroll Supervisor to lead our payroll team supporting the Air Force at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. You will ensure timely, accurate payroll processing, compliance with government regulations, and supervision of daily departmental workflow.

You will manage updates for fringes, taxes, and multi-state payroll, provide timekeeping support, and mentor staff. This role requires DoD clearance eligibility and US citizenship, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field with 8 years’ experience.
• Experience overseeing payroll functions for a minimum of 2 years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD NACI and access to the AEDC LAN.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract and Air Force security mandates.

Responsibilities

• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems for salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions.
• Ensures accurate processing of updates including fringes and changes to pay rates and taxes across states and locations.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Identifies and recommends updates to payroll systems and procedures.
• Provide technical support for timekeeping system and training of staff.
• Oversee and participate in daily workflow of the department.
• Communicate with workforce to resolve pay discrepancies.
• Contributes to annual performance evaluations and staff development.
