Job summary

Illinois Wesleyan University is seeking a full-time, on-campus accounting professional to manage cashiering, deposits, and daily cash reconciliation within the Business Office. You will assist with payroll backup, student accounts billing, and general ledger entries while coordinating with other departments to resolve issues for students and families.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting and at least one year of related experience; you will back up payroll and accounts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Business/Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum of one year of related business office experience.
• Knowledge of banking procedures and reconciliations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Process cashiering activities and balance cash daily.
• Prepare monthly general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
• Support student accounts, payroll backups, and accounts payable as needed.
• Respond to student/family inquiries and provide strong customer service.
