Job summary

CHANEL is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Finance Division. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing across the organization and supports data integrity within internal controls.

You will handle Workday integrations, HRIS data validation, garnishments, and post-payroll tasks, while delivering excellent employee service and meeting tight deadlines in a partially remote environment at our Piscataway, NJ office.

Qualifications

• Experience in Ulti-Pro, Kronos and Workday.
• Basic understanding of Payroll processing.
• Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office expertise.
• A technical mind: strong understanding of input/output.
• Comfort with analyzing data.
• AS/AA in Accounting or Related Finance field.

Responsibilities

• Daily review of incoming Workday integration data and corrective actions.
• Provide excellent employee service by resolving payroll inquiries promptly.
• Gather and prepare data for payroll processing via US Payroll channels.
• Run integrations between timekeeping and payroll systems to transfer hours.
• Review changes for accuracy with HR partners for data validation.
• Review payroll pre-check reports for discrepancies and resolve.
• Maintain data integrity between HRIS and payroll systems.
• Prepare SOPs for daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
• Set up garnishments and post-payroll tasks like deferred comp funding.
• Support ad-hoc payroll projects as needed.
