Job summary

ATG-Entertainment – North America is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our North American Payroll team. This role is based in San Antonio and supports multi-state payroll operations with a strong focus on California compliance.

You will work closely with the Payroll Director and handle hands-on payroll processing, union payroll, W‑2s, and year-end tasks using UKG/ADP/Ceridian. This position requires in-office presence a minimum of four days per week.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with UKG or similar HCM systems.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience preparing union benefit reports and coordinating payments.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly full-cycle payroll for salaried, hourly and union staff across three San Francisco venues using UKG.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and processing issues.
• Process off-cycle payrolls including manual checks for terminations, bonuses and retro pay.
• Review timecard data in ABI Mastermind and UKG Ready for compliance.
• Import and reconcile variances in UKG-Time and Attendance.
• Maintain accurate electronic payroll records.
• Respond to employee payroll questions.
• Process employee changes such as deductions, garnishments, pay rate changes, withholding changes, and terminations.
• Assist cross-training payroll staff; support issuance of W-2s and 1095-Cs.
• Perform other payroll duties as assigned.
