Job summary

Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group, Inc is seeking a Payroll Specialist in West Hollywood, CA to manage payroll processing for multiple clients in the entertainment industry. This role requires handling 20+ payrolls weekly, ensuring accuracy, compliance with federal/state laws and union agreements, and acting as the primary client contact for payroll questions.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience using ADP.
• Experience processing payroll for several entities at a time.
• Familiarity with all pay periods (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, etc.).
• 5-7 years’ experience in processing high-volume payroll; entertainment payroll experience preferred.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to process multiple payrolls.

Responsibilities

• Process in-coming payrolls (20+ weekly) following applicable laws and CBAs.
• Assist clients with payroll production, tax inquiries and issue resolution.
• Utilize payroll database systems and related reports (timecard verification, fringe, payroll history).
• Maintain accurate files for each client/show and address payroll questions.
• Manage weekly payroll processing across multiple clients to meet deadlines.
• Review timecards and payroll previews to identify discrepancies and issues.
• Run quarterly and year-end payroll reports for clients.
