Qualifications

• Two years of payroll processing experience with multi-state employees.
• Understanding of payroll flows from recording hours through mailing checks.
• Knowledge of payroll deductions and taxes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Basic accounting and finance principles.
• Experience with SAP Financials a plus.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Team player, energetic, self-starter.
• Extended hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Weekly review of payroll data for verification and adjustment of hours worked.
• Process manual salary adjustments (vacation, PTO, etc.).
• Maintain and run bonus and salary programs.
• Calculate sales commissions.
• Process ad hoc payment transactions.
• Transmit payroll to SSD accurately and timely.
• Audit weekly payroll for accuracy.
• Handle high volume payroll checks while multitasking.
• Research pay and benefit discrepancies.
• Explain gross pay to net pay to employees as needed.
• Answer high daily inquiry volume.
• Run various ad hoc reports.
• Communicate within and outside the department.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
