Job summary

Structure Personnel is seeking a Payroll Processor in Streetsboro, Ohio to accurately process weekly to semi-monthly payroll, maintain payroll records, review timekeeping data, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role partners with HR and accounting to calculate wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and year-end reporting, while resolving discrepancies and providing timely payroll reports to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• 1-3 years payroll processing or related accounting experience.
• Knowledge of payroll systems (ADP/Paychex or similar).
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage laws.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly.
• Verify timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Process taxes, benefits, garnishments, and retirement contributions.
• Maintain payroll records in the payroll system.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with HR on hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
• Review benefits enrollment and carrier invoices.
• Assist with year-end payroll processes (W-2, ACA) and filings.
• Monitor accounts for overdue balances and send reminders.
• Support payroll audits and maintain compliance documentation.
