Job summary

SHI International Corp. in the United States seeks a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll across the organization.

Reporting through HR, you’ll partner with HR, Commissions, Accounting, and other stakeholders to process payroll transactions and resolve employee inquiries. You must maintain confidentiality, manage deadlines, and look for ways to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for payroll reporting and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of payroll accounting concepts and payroll controls.
• Experience using payroll systems such as Vantage and ADP for processing and reporting.
• Ability to identify payroll process gaps and propose improvements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, reliable, and timely payroll services within calendars and compliance requirements.
• Perform daily employee maintenance updates and ensure payroll records are accurate.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
• Manage payroll workflows to ensure timely processing and follow-up on outstanding items.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and escalate discrepancies with solutions.
• Process garnishments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage year-end reporting activities (W-2, W-2c).
• Load and validate files from HR and internal partners across companies.
• Research issues, identify root causes, and propose process improvements.
