Job summary

Wilson Construction Company in Canby, Oregon seeks a Payroll Specialist to join our headquarters accounting team. You will process weekly in-house payroll for 800 to 900 multi-state, multi-union employees, performing timesheet audits and cost coding with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive payroll and accounting experience, in-house, full-cycle construction with multi-union payroll preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, multi-state, and local payroll tax principles; familiarity with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office with fast 10-key data entry and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Must reside within driving distance of Canby, OR or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Audit weekly timesheets and accurately process multi-state, multi-union payroll runs.
• Apply CBAs and prepare monthly union reporting packages.
• Prepare and remit payroll taxes (weekly, monthly, quarterly) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify and resolve payroll, wage, or accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Provide responsive payroll support to employees, project management, union reps, and external agencies.
