Job summary

Johns Manville in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, tax and benefits transactions across multi-state operations. You will handle data transfers to vendors, reconcile payments, and maintain system integrity in accordance with regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with payroll experience or 5+ years in multi-state payroll, and a compliance-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ experience or 5+ years multi-state payroll experience.
• Payroll certification preferred or willing to obtain within two years.
• Solid understanding of payroll compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely data/file transfers from Client to third party vendors according to the operating schedule.
• Assist with the reconciliation of payroll payments, wages, deductions, and applicable adjustments.
• Perform data entry for payroll, benefits and HR transactions.
• Support maintaining the validity and integrity of payroll system data and ensure all payroll and tax transactions are compliant with laws and company policy.
• Research issues and provide recommendations for resolution related to payroll processing outputs.
