Land Title Guarantee Company in Colorado is hiring a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across the organization. This in-office role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm and starts around September 2026.

You will manage multi-state payrolls, tax withholding, and year-end activities, acting as the primary liaison with the payroll system provider. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of high-volume payroll experience, strong Excel and HRIS skills, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience with payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now, Paychex Plex, QuickBooks Payroll, UKG Pro, Workday.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems.
• Knowledge of direct deposit, wage garnishments, tax withholding, and benefits deductions.
• Federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Wage and hour laws, including overtime rules.
• Payroll reporting requirements.
• Recordkeeping and confidentiality standards.
• Year-end processes such as issuing tax forms.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact with the payroll system provider to ensure full functionality.
• Define pay rules and tax jurisdictions with HRIS Analyst.
• Execute semi-monthly, multi-state payrolls for 500+ employees with accuracy.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and support HR, managers, and employees.
• Coordinate with tax departments and vendors for out-of-state employees.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and audit payroll data.
• Prepare payroll reports for accounting and audits.
• Maintain organized payroll records and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with HR on onboarding, terminations, and adjustments.
