Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• A post-secondary degree is required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
• Solid understanding of deductions, garnishments, payroll taxes, and year-end processing.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly payroll for multiple clients.
• Review timesheets, new hires, terminations, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and adjustments.
• Enter and verify payroll data with high accuracy.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll information.
• Support payroll tax filings, notices, W-2 processing, and year-end activities.
• Assist with multi-state payroll and compliance across federal, state, and local levels.
• Respond to client questions and resolve discrepancies professionally.
• Assist with onboarding and prior-record reviews for new clients.
• Maintain confidential employee and client information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
