Job summary

Orbiss is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of multi-state clients in the United States. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strict regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional client service.

You will onboard new clients, assist with transitions, and mentor junior staff, contributing to refined payroll processes and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on U.S. payroll experience.
• Experience in multi-client environments (CPA firm, PEO, or payroll provider).
• Proficiency with payroll platforms and payroll reports for reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state clients.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage deductions for benefits and 401(k) plans.
• Handle payroll tax filings and notices.
• Onboard clients and assist with transitions.
• Support junior payroll associates and improve processes.
• Operate payroll platforms such as Gusto, Justworks, ADP, Paychex.
