Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join the payroll team. You will process weekly payrolls for 9,000+ employees across multiple companies and states while delivering excellent service to employees and customers.

You will assist with tax filings, garnishments, unemployment taxes, W-2 reconciliations, and related monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of multi-state payroll are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree and up to 0+ years of progressive experience in payroll processing or related field.
• Associates Degree and 4+ Years of progressive experience in payroll processing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 9,000+ employees across multiple entities and states.
• Investigate and resolve tax notices, penalties, and questionnaire requests.
• Assist with timely deposits and filings for federal, state, and local taxes.
• Assist with unemployment tax filings and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Process weekly garnishments and other wage attachments.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT to improve payroll operations and automation.
