Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a payroll professional to manage weekly payrolls for 9,000 employees across multiple states and entities. You will ensure accurate tax filings, garnishments, and timely payroll processing while providing excellent service to employees and internal customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Finance and IT to improve payroll automation and accuracy, and supporting quarterly and annual tax reconciliations. A Bachelor’s degree in a business field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and up to 0+ years of progressive experience in payroll or related field.
• Associates degree and 4+ years of progressive experience in payroll or related field.
• Knowledge of multi-state, multi-entity (FEIN) in-house payroll processing.
• Knowledge of federal, multi-state and local tax reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of FLSA, employment laws and tax laws and regulations.
• Strong MS Excel and Word; excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 9,000 employees across multiple companies and states.
• Assist with employee changes, tax filings, and garnishments.
• File quarterly and annual unemployment taxes; perform tax reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Finance and IT to improve payroll operations and automation.
• Support tax deposits and filings for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Handle occasional other payroll tasks as needed.
