Job summary

Seventh Dimension LLC in Aberdeen, NC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own the full payroll cycle for hourly and salaried staff across multiple locations. You will manage employee data, ensure accurate deductions, and support audits and regulatory filings.

You will collaborate with HR to standardize payroll processes, maintain confidentiality, and ensure timely payroll processing under multiple schedules, while staying compliant with all applicable wage laws.

Qualifications

• US citizen or eligible to work in the US.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Process the full payroll cycle for weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly schedules for hourly and salaried employees.
• Manage employee data in payroll and HRIS systems (new hires, terminations, status changes, transfers, pay rate changes, garnishments).
• Audit payroll records and reconciliations (GL entries, bank reconciliations, deductions, withholdings).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Assist with tax filings, W-2s, 1099s, year-end close, audits, and filings.
• Monitor payroll legislation and propose policy updates.
• Collaborate with HR to improve payroll processes and controls.
