Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a payroll specialist to support weekly and monthly payroll processing for all companies in Workday. The role requires a strong payroll background, analytical mindset, and a technical orientation to handle complex transactions while communicating effectively with employees and managers.

The position is hybrid, onsite 4x per month at Assembly Row, Somerville, MA with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing payroll with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with Workday payroll system.
• Familiar with payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions.

Responsibilities

• Run payroll processing including calculations, complete and settlement steps.
• Audit retro transactions and ensure timely payroll processing.
• Review CAPAS retro transactions and create on-demand entries as needed.
• Analyze payroll reports and audits to prevent errors.
• Troubleshoot pay-impacting integrations (e.g., UKG) and resolve calculation issues.
• Provide responsive service to payroll customers via Service Now; explain taxes and earnings.
