Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services seeks a Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll processing, HRIS administration, and multi-state compliance in Pleasant Valley, MO. You will run bi-weekly payroll, manage deductions, taxes, and reports, and serve as the go-to resource for payroll questions.

Ideal candidates have solid payroll/HR background, experience with HCM systems, strong Excel skills, and the ability to train managers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Solid payroll and HR background; HCM system experience preferred.
• You communicate clearly, both in writing and out loud.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and train others.

Responsibilities

• Own HCM site administration and lead training.
• Run bi-weekly payroll from start to finish, including deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and support orders.
• Process all required payroll reports and checks with speed and accuracy.
• Spot patterns in recurring timecard issues and help managers avoid repeated mistakes.
• Be the first point of contact for employees with questions about deductions, overtime, and pay.
• Assist with payroll audits, year-end activities, and W-2 processing.
