DePelchin Family Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Payroll Specialist to perform professional payroll and accounting duties, including verifying timesheets, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate adjustments.

You will process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried staff, prepare journal entries, and collaborate with HR to align payroll data. Strong Excel and HRIS skills are essential.

Formación

• Two years of payroll and accounting experience.
• Two years of payroll processing using HRIS (Paycom preferred).
• Two years of payroll processing in accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred).
• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsabilidades

• Audit employee timesheets to ensure accuracy and communicate with employees and managers to resolve issues and process corrections.
• Address payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly.
• Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Prepare and record bi-weekly and semi-monthly journal entries related to payroll.
• Partner with the HR team to maintain accurate employee data and align payroll with HR records.
• Generate payroll reports and conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reports from Paycom to support month-end closing activities.
• Assist with year-end processes, including audits, single audits, and fund audits.
