Durwood Greene Construction in the Houston area is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the HR, Payroll, and Accounting teams to ensure deadlines are met for company payroll. The ideal candidate is familiar with payroll software and has a thorough understanding of data entry and filing.

The role involves daily time uploads, weekly payroll verification, PTO processing, and collaboration with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in payroll or related clerical work.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Professional communication with employees and managers.

Responsabilités

• Upload time daily, throughout the day
• Run labor distribution reports and payroll register to look for errors weekly
• Walk employees through time apps and PTO app when issues arise
• Review PTO requests weekly to ensure accuracy and deadlines
• Upload PTO into CE
• Upload Holiday Pay
• Collect time approvals
• Fix time in CE
• Enter pay adjustments
• Enter retro pay when needed
• Submit VOEs
• Run reports for departments or supervisors
• Send out check stubs
• Assist with certified payroll when needed
• Research direct deposit issues with banks
• Submit payments to employees for direct deposit issues
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Maintain updated employee contact information in the system
• Assist with enrollment for health care open enrollment, 401k, ESPP, etc.
• Additional duties as assigned

Formation

Associate's Degree or equivalent training
