ARS-Rescue Rooter is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly and semi-monthly payroll for a large multi-state workforce. You will review timekeeping data, audit payroll and support team accuracy, while ensuring timely processing and strict confidentiality.

You will work with HR and managers, handle routine payroll transactions, and stay compliant with applicable laws. A proactive learner eager to grow in payroll is ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years payroll processing or related experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Review timekeeping and payroll data for weekly and semi-monthly cycles for accuracy.
• Perform pre- and post-processing audits, identify discrepancies, and correct issues before deadlines.
• Process routine payroll transactions including employee changes, direct deposits, tax updates, and deductions.
• Respond to routine payroll questions professionally and document actions taken.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and supporting documentation with strict privacy.
• Collaborate with employees, managers, HR, and internal teams to obtain timely corrections.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements; escalate concerns as needed.
