Job summary

ARS-Rescue Rooter in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to independently manage complex weekly and semi-monthly payroll for a large multi-state workforce. You will audit, reconcile, and resolve payroll issues, while guiding business partners and maintaining strict confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing, strong knowledge of multi-state rules, and experience with UKG Pro/Workforce Management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll and complex transactions.
• Multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred.
• FPC or CPP designation is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in HRIS/timekeeping systems and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manages weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles from review to final validation.
• Performs advanced audits and reconciliations of timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, and payroll control totals.
• Resolves complex payroll discrepancies and escalates risks as needed.
• Processes adjustments, off-cycle payments, manual checks, direct deposit issues, and other non-routine items.
• Provides payroll guidance to employees and business partners while maintaining confidentiality.
• Interprets federal, multi-state, and local wage/hour rules and company policies.
• Supports payroll funding, GL, tax, garnishments, and quarter/year-end activities with documentation.
• Assists with testing, implementations, acquisitions, and system configuration improvements.
