Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Payroll Specialist for our Torrance, CA site, focusing on construction and manufacturing payroll. You will own full cycle weekly payroll in house, manage cost codes, and ensure accurate labor cost allocation across active projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of in-house payroll processing experience, with strong reconciliations, garnishments, and collaboration with the controller. This role offers a strong culture, growth, and a competitive salary range.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle weekly payroll in house, from calculating hours and overtime to deductions and adjustments
• Lead job costing and cost code analysis, making sure labor costs are allocated accurately across active projects
• Maintain and manage cost codes
• Run regular payroll reconciliations to keep everything clean and accurate
• Handle workers' compensation and garnishments
• Bring fresh ideas to improve efficiency and accuracy across payroll and job costing processes
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual payroll and job costing reports
• Work closely with the Controller as a true partner on reporting and accuracy

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Own full cycle weekly payroll in house, from calculating hours and overtime to deductions and adjustments
2. Lead job costing and cost code analysis, making sure labor costs are allocated accurately across active projects
