Job summary

Nassal/nFusion, part of the PCL family, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for the Nassal office to support pay, deductions, benefits, taxes, and documentation. You will maintain payroll data, assist with system setups, and help deliver timely payroll processing and reports.

You will work with labor agreements and statutory regulations, ensuring accuracy in remittances and stakeholder communications, including new hires and terminations. A reliable, detail-oriented professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline is an asset.
• Certified Payroll Professional designation is an asset (U.S.).
• Some co-op experience or 1 year of payroll or timekeeping experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, statutory laws and labor agreements.
• Knowledge and experience with job cost accounting and general ledgers.
• Experience with preparation, reconciliation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual remittances.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of payroll and accounting software.
• Skills using Microsoft Office Suite and internal operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Interprets labor agreements and statutory legislation to ensure payroll compliance.
• Maintains all employee payroll information to keep it current and accurate.
• Handles payroll system setup tasks (e.g., New Year statutory amounts, recharge rates).
• Assists in full-cycle payroll processing including allocations and remittances.
• Prepares periodic reports and filings.
• Gathers payroll information for current or terminated employees for stakeholders.
• Ensures accurate processing of employee transactions (new hires, LOA, job code changes, terminations).
