Nassal, part of the PCL family, invites you to join our Nassal office as Payroll Coordinator in Orlando. You will support full-cycle payroll, ensure compliance with labor laws, and maintain accurate payroll data.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and collaboration with HR and finance. A related degree and payroll experience are assets, with knowledge of payroll software and ledgers highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline is an asset.
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation (U.S.) is an asset.
  • Some co-op experience or 1 year of payroll or timekeeping experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, statutory laws and labor agreements.
  • Knowledge and experience with job cost accounting and general ledgers.
  • Experience with preparation, reconciliation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external remittances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with payroll and accounting software.
  • Skills using Microsoft Office Suite and internal operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with interpretation of labor agreements and statutory legislation to ensure pay, deductions, benefits, taxes and documentation compliance.
  • Maintains all employee payroll information to keep it current and accurate.
  • Maintains payroll system setup tasks (e.g., New Year statutory amounts, recharge rates).
  • Assists in full cycle payroll processing, including review and balancing of payroll allocations (rates of pay, deductions, hours, burdens, remittances).
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports and fillings.
  • Assists with preparation of payroll information for current or terminated employees for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works with resources to ensure employee transactions (new hires, LOA, job code changes, terminations) are processed accurately and timely.

Responsibilities
