Nextep is seeking a payroll specialist to join our team in Minnesota. You will process payroll data for a dedicated roster of clients, administer Nextep’s payroll and timekeeping systems, and serve as the main contact for payroll inquiries.

You will stay current on wage and tax laws to advise clients and ensure accurate payroll processing. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and timely issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of payroll or customer service experience preferred.
• Stay up-to-date on wage and tax laws and ensure payroll compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll data including adjustments, special payments and deductions.
• Administer payroll for a dedicated client roster and support Nextep’s payroll system.
• Serve as primary contact for client payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax regulations related to payroll.
