Job summary

CFS is seeking a Payroll Specialist and HR Assistant to join our Clackamas, Oregon team onsite. You will manage weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll for multiple states, while preparing certified payroll reports for public works projects and ensuring accuracy across timekeeping and labor classifications.

You will also reconcile payroll to the general ledger, support tax filings and compliance, and assist with onboarding, benefits, and HR records.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
  • Experience using an ERP or payroll system.
  • Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
  • Certified payroll, prevailing wage, construction payroll, or multi-state payroll experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll for multi-state employees.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for public works projects.
  • Audit timekeeping records, payroll data, and labor classifications.
  • Reconcile payroll to the GL and job cost systems.
  • Support payroll tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Assist with onboarding, benefits administration, and HR records.
