Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- in Tualatin, OR is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. You will process bi-weekly payroll for a diverse workforce, maintain records, and ensure accurate and timely payroll administration in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with HR and leadership, administer compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, manage year-end activities including W-2s, and generate payroll reports. The role requires 3+ years of experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance.
• Experience with construction, union, or project-based payroll is preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
• Proficient in Excel and payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule for a diverse employee population.
• Maintain employee payroll records, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Administer prevailing wage and union payroll requirements, as applicable.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Partner with Human Resources regarding employee changes, benefits deductions, and leave-related payroll impacts.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reporting.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within payroll processes and systems.
