Job summary

The ideal candidate has payroll experience, strong data entry skills (45 wpm, 10-key), and excellent communication. ADP proficiency and MS Office skills are preferred to support reporting and daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years payroll experience.
• U.S. citizen or right to work in the United States.
• Data entry speed of at least 45 wpm and 10-key by touch.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review payrolls pre- and post-transmittal for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify payroll complies with policies and all pay changes and deductions are processed per source documents.
• Verify the accuracy of data entry into ADP.
• Process multiple payrolls and related projects each month.
• Adjust payroll errors and respond to employee concerns.
• Respond to state agency notifications regarding former employment and unemployment claims.
• Escalate potential service issues to Payroll Manager.
• Coordinate daily work activities and prioritize workload; monitor status of work in progress.
