At CableCom, as a Payroll Specialist, you'll assist in compiling payroll data to prepare weekly checks, maintain employee records, and serve as a resource to field offices for common questions.

What you’ll do as a Payroll Specialist

• Process payroll accurately and timely, adhering to federal and state laws.
• Assist with payroll accounting, transactions, reporting, stop payments, and other operations.
• Review payroll reports and timesheets for correctness before processing.
• Respond promptly to payroll questions.

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made.
• Associate's degree or equivalent, or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of relevant software systems.
• Physical ability to perform tasks required for the shift.

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: sitting, keyboard/mouse use, standing, walking
• Occasionally: lifting up to 40 lbs, carrying 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Fast learner, tech-savvy, with intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills.

Salary Range $25 - $28 per hour
