What you’ll do as a Payroll Specialist

• Process payroll accurately and timely, adhering to federal and state laws.
• Assist with payroll accounting, transactions, reporting, and stop payments.
• Review payroll reports and timesheets for correctness before processing.
• Respond promptly to payroll-related questions.

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
• Associate's degree or equivalent, or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of accounting, database, HR, payroll, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
• Physical ability to perform tasks required during shifts.

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: sitting, keyboard/mouse use, standing, walking
• Occasionally: lifting up to 40 lbs, carrying 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Fast learner, tech-savvy.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Salary Range: $25 - $28 per hour
