Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
  • Experience processing payroll with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • College degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and business software.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for multiple U.S. small business clients across various payroll platforms.
  • Manage payroll data, reconciliations, and processing timelines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Support payroll onboarding and system setup for new clients.
  • Assist with bookkeeping and accounts receivable related to payroll operations.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve payroll questions and provide excellent support.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations and tax requirements.
  • Document and improve payroll workflows, SOPs, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support payroll platform transitions and operational improvements.
