Job summary

Thomas Edwards Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a collaborative payroll team supporting a multi-state workforce of about 1,100 employees. This in-house role offers growth toward a future Payroll Director position.

You will process end-to-end payroll, ensure accurate calculations, and support month-end/year-end closes, W-2s, and audits while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing and payroll accounting experience.
• Strong multi-state payroll experience required.
• Payroll tax experience required.
• ADP experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred.
• Understanding of payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll accounting processes.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Desire and potential to grow into future leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and growth-minded Payroll Specialist / Payroll Accountant to join a collaborative payroll team supporting a multi-state workforce of approximately 1,100 employees. This is a confidential replacement search for an organization that processes payroll fully in-house.

This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll accounting knowledge who wants long-term growth potential into a future Payroll Director-level position.

Key Responsibilities
