Qualifications

• Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and payroll tax requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review and audit employee timekeeping records to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and deductions.
• Process garnishments, benefits deductions, direct deposits, and wage attachments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Reconcile payroll reports and payroll related accounting functions.
• Prepare payroll reports and support year-end payroll activities.
• Assist with payroll audits and maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.

Job description

A Beacon Hill client in the Philadelphia, PA area is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a contract to hire opportunity offering $33-$37/hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have experience processing high-volume payroll, managing payroll compliance, and supporting employees with payroll related inquiries. This opportunity offers the potential for long term growth within a stable and collaborative organization. Previous payroll processing experience and knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations are prefered.

Position Summary
