Job summary

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist in Oklahoma City to process payroll accurately and on time for a growing manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities include handling timekeeping, deductions, year-end activities, and compliance with payroll laws, while collaborating with HR and Accounting to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years payroll experience required.
  • Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll for hourly employees and overtime.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, garnishments, and deductions.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Review and audit timekeeping records to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and tax information.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, pay changes, and benefits deductions.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll tax reporting.
  • Support payroll audits and maintain confidential employee information.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and HR to improve payroll processes and reporting.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing manufacturing organization in Oklahoma City. This role will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing payroll within a manufacturing environment and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-state payroll experience is a plus.
  • CPP certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working with large employee populations preferred.
