Role Description

Your Role

As Payroll Specialist, you will ensure smooth and efficient Payroll processes in dedicated markets within a global organization. Day-to-day, you will work in Service Now (ticketing/inquiry resolution), as well as with payroll providers and other related channels, maintaining responsibility for administration of all operational payroll tasks.

This is a remote role, which can be based in either the U.S. or Canada. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in U.S. payroll.

Your Responsibilities
• Manage Payroll for the U.S. (supporting other markets, as needed), ensuring compliance with internally agreed standards and local legal regulations. Follow local legislation changes that impact payroll and communicate to relevant parties to ensure market-specific changes are reflected.• Hands on ticketing system (Service Now) involvement: monitor, resolve, and provide LEO employees with timely answers to inquiries regarding employment, payroll, benefits and time & attendance policies
• Audit payroll data vs HR data, ensuring that data is accurate across systems and platforms. Prepare relevant payroll data for external audits, as needed.
• Act as an expert in the field, supporting implementation of new payroll-related processes. Maintain both internal and external systems that support payroll processing
• Partner closely and develop strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders (HR Operations, HR Business Partners, vendors, HRIS Team, Total Rewards Team, Finance, Internal Audit)
• Administer and calculate compensation, rewards, and bonuses to employees; analyse/validate/support in creation of severance deals
• Manage employee Leave of Absence and Sickness
• Execute three phases of Payroll according to Global and local payroll calendars
• Pay components management: analyse, define, and submit new pay components and work schedules to HRIS Team for implementation. Participate in the UAT testing of new pay components, work schedules and overall enhancements of the payroll service
• Analyse the need and raise change requests for expanding/reducing/modifying the services we receive from our payroll outsourcing partners
• Support the full “payroll wheel:” executing year end activities and validating payroll calendars provided by vendors

Your Qualifications
• FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) is a must-have, with the desire to work towards a CPP• 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing
• A demonstrated understanding of U.S. Payroll processes
• Strong knowledge of payroll data platforms and tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to work as a team player in a process-driven environment, while embracing a flexible and "can do" attitude
• Be curious, proactive, and solution-oriented, with the able to work independently to solve problems with urgency and enthusiasm
• A customer-focused mindset – the ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
• Collaborate effectively, building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared goals
• Fluent in English (written and verbal), additional European language proficiency is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$135,000per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
