Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Payroll Specialist to support a multi-entity, weekly payroll environment in Colorado. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and a collaborative internal team to ensure accurate processing and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience (required).
  • Experience in construction, union payroll, or certified payroll environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with certified payroll reporting and LCPtracker a plus.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar payroll systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and basic payroll tax principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for multiple entities with a high level of accuracy.
  • Collect, review, and verify timecards across multiple systems for completeness and FLSA compliance.
  • Code and report hours for certified payroll and accounting purposes.
  • Calculate wages, including union rates, certified payroll, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Review attendance, leave, and pay adjustments; reconcile discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues in partnership with the Payroll Manager.
  • Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, direct deposit updates, and tax elections.
  • Support payroll reporting and ensure accuracy across systems.
