Job description

Position Overview

Vaco Indianapolis is seeking a Payroll Specialist to work full‑time onsite on the east side of Indianapolis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process full‑cycle weekly, multi‑state payroll utilizing iCIMS
• Run/audit reports and timesheets to identify discrepancies; send time discrepancy notices and enter PTO requests and corrections
• Collect overtime requests and calculate weekly overtime accruals
• Update employee attendance calendars
• Provide superior customer service ensuring timely response to high volume of email requests
• Update prepaid schedule and record payroll entries
• Review payroll taxes (create schedule if outstanding balance)
• Review and set up garnishment deductions
• Record manual checks
• Attend training sessions and conferences to stay current with new developments in the payroll system software used by the Corporation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Work closely with Human Resources to maintain accurate payroll processing

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range for the role is disclosed in the job posting. Eligible for discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, vision benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
